Aurelio Matos Polanco, 71, born on September 25, 1940 in Cenotillo, Yucatan, Mexico, passed away April 11, 2012. He resided in Los Angeles at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Olimpia Tun Polanco.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Rita Longmuir (wife of John) of Brea, CA; his son Wilbert Polanco (husband of Maria) of Miami, FL; and his daughter Clara Castro (wife of Hector) of Los Angeles, CA; and 6 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Jose Polanco.
He had a distinguished career as a chef at the Bel Air Hotel. Upon retirement, he enjoyed cooking, visiting Mexico and spending time with his grandchildren.
His humor and friendliness will be missed by all.
