Terry Grant Thorpe, of San Clemente, California, born on August 30, 1945 in Los Angeles, passed away at age 72 on April 14, 2018. Terry graduated from Cal State Long Beach with both a BA and an MBA. He served his country with the US Army from 1968 to 1972. Terry was a founding faculty member at Irvine Valley College in 1979 as a Professor of Business Science. He retired in 2010 as Professor Emeritus. For 44 years Terry was the loving husband of Linda (Soltan). He is survived by his brother, Greg Thorpe of Brea. He also leaves behind his greatly loved dogs, Dakota and Cody. Terry is remembered for always following his passions which included the beach, sunsets, laughter, cruising, sharing stories with his personal spin on them and above all else, love. A private graveside service and internment will be held at Forest Lawn, Glendale. A Celebration of Life will be held in June in Capistrano Beach, California.
