Maria Caridad "Maricar" Coronel passed away in Burbank surrounded by her family on June 8, 2017, at the age of 57, following her struggle with cancer. Born in Manila, Philippines, she came to the United States and lived in Chicago and New York before settling in Burbank, California. She was a hardworking and dedicated accountant for over thirty years, having graduated with a  Bachelor of Arts major in Business Administration at University of Santo Tomas. She is survived by her parents Jose and Victoria Coronel, her brothers and sisters Cynthia Diangkinay (Hector), Nanette Salva Cruz (Ray), Phillip Coronel (Myrna), Pilar Ivanov (David), Martin Coronel (Juliette), Catherine Lin (Jaycee), Raymond Coronel (Josephine), four nieces, nine nephews, a grand niece and many other family members. Maria was a beloved sister, a faithful daughter, and a loving aunt; while she was deeply attached to her family, she was also independent and an inspiration to everyone. Most of all, her life was rooted in her deep Catholic faith, particularly in her Marian devotion. She will be deeply missed.
