God finally got his best flower designer back. I'm thinking heaven's bouquets just got kicked up several notches.

And Douglas helped so many others find their own. Douglas came into my life at a time when, left up to my own tragic trajectory I would not have lasted much longer. One of the most soft spoken gentleman I've ever known --yet one who always sought the unsugar-coated truth as hard as truth may be sometimes for us to see. And Douglas helped so many others find their own. Douglas came into my life at a time when, left up to my own tragic trajectory I would not have lasted much longer. The wheels had come off and I was coming to a spinning, screeching end. To this day I am convinced, in fact I know with out an iota of doubt there is no one else in the world that could have helped. There was no person I would have let in like him. Indeed he was not only my Eskimo --he was a God Send. 28 years I walked along with him --sometimes closer than others but he was the one rock in my life, the one man I could always count on no matter how much time had lapsed, who would be there. Entirely present. And take the time to really listen and often help me sort through my own self induced smoke and mirrors. He never once told me he loved me yet with Douglas' it was not something that had to be said. That is beyond rare. The words "I love you are cheap" and so filled with strings and unspoken expectations; often with a hook on the end to hear "I love you" back... but a love that needs not be spoken or expressed in words is the truest love indeed. Some days the pain just winds out like a long thin wire. I miss him so. He was the only person I ever let all the way in. The only person I expect I ever will. But for knowing Douglas I now know LOVE is, indeed, eternal. And so with me and so many countless others his life touched --he lives on, fully in my heart and I know he's with me --with us, in spirit. God Bless you Douglas. You gave me my life. My teacher and then my friend --I bide my time until I can see you again.

Douglas was someone who helped me when I needed, gave me great advice and always told me the truth! And for that, I will be forever grateful!
