Mrs. Diane "Dee" Roberta (Weiss) Briscoe, born on October 7, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Eleanor Weiss and the late Albert Weiss, passed away at age 81 on April 26, 2018 in Van Nuys, California after a battle with cancer. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Grandee, homemaker, friend and loyal prayer warrior. Diane was married to Joseph Jackson "Jack" Briscoe III. She is survived by herdaughter, Jill Terri Briscoe Clymer; son, Joseph Jackson Briscoe IV; sister, Alana Weiss Velez of Flagstaff, AZ; and grandchildren, Bryce Warren Clymer, Joseph Jackson Briscoe V, Isabella Naomi Briscoe, and Brayden Paul Briscoe. She devoted her life to her family, friends, church and Lord. She enjoyed travel, dancing, shopping, praying and cheering for her grandchildren. She was a long time member, Sunday School teacher and Bible Study leader at Valley Presbyterian Church in North Hills, CA, and a Founding Member of Church in the Canyon in Calabasas, CA. The family invites donations in Diane's name to Joni and Friends (, a ministry to disabled people throughout the world and one near and dear to Diane's heart. Our memories of Dee will live in our hearts forever, just as she is in the eternal presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Friends and family can pay their respects at the Celebration of Life service, officiated by Pastor Ron Svendsen, on Saturday, May 12 at 12:00 p.m. in the Old North Church at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, followed by a graveside service and a reception at the Briscoe home.
