Corazon Desamito Nava, 78, was born on October 21, 1938 in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, Philippines, and passed away peacefully on September 2, 2017 at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California. Her parents were Gonzalo Nava and Rose Desamito. She resided in Glendale, California at the time of her passing. Beloved and remembered with joy by her partner and best friend, Alfredo H. Sevilla and her children, Elizabeth Gonzales (Lisandro Gonzales), Gilbert Almeda (Jesusa Almeda), Ajii Balagot (Oscar Balagot), Jose Christopher Fornier (Angela Mijares), Joselito Fornier (Yvon Beaulieu) and Joybelle Hombrebueno (Omar Hombrebueno) and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends and colleagues.

At the time of her death, Corazon Nava was working as an activity director at Montrose Healthcare Center. She also worked as a certified nursing assistant. Fearless and with a passion for travel, she lived life to the fullest while always keeping in mind care and compassion for others. She positively touched the lives of countless people in the Philippines, Canada and the United States who will all miss her dearly. A mass will be held for Corazon Nava at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Los Angeles at 9:00 a.m on Thursday, September 7. Visitation will take place at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills on the following dates and times: September 8, Friday, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.; and September 9, Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cremation of Corazon Nava's remains will take place on Tuesday, September 12 at 8:30 a.m. with internment following on Thursday, September 14, 10:00 a.m. at the Columbarium of Morning Hope, Forest Lawn, Hollywood HIlls, California.

Our hearts are in pain but we must let you go with love. Thank you for the gift of your life. You have earned your rest and Heaven's Gate has opened to receive you.
