Carmelita Garcia-Licas, 88, was born on July 16, 1929 in Manila, Philippines passed away July 27, 2017. She resided in Sunland, California at the time of her passing.

She attended Instituto de Mujeres a private all girls Catholic High School and University of Santo Tomas majoring in journalism. Carmelita was a devoted mother to her children, grand-children and great grand-children. She was the care giver to most of her grand-children and enjoyed caring for them.

Her passion was "antiquing" and in the 70's and 80's when it was not popular as it is now she was pioneering the trading of antiques. Her favorite past time, as most of us know, is playing the slot machines at her favorite casinos.

She is survived by his children (Victor Licas, Leo Licas, Ricardo Licas, Eric Licas, Angie Licas-Navarro and Ramon Licas) and their spouses (Dr. Jo Badar-Licas, Jane Marie Aragon-Licas, Emma Teves-Licas and James Malloy). Her grand-children (Cherlyn Licas-Wagner, Vincent Licas, Aeilani Licas, JR Licas, Jeffrey Licas, Benjamin Licas, Cody Licas, Chloe Licas, Angel Licas-Gonzaga, Abby Licas-Rivas, Aubrey Licas-Ocampo, Andrea Licas-Ablan, Anthony Licas, Elaine Licas, Theodore Licas, Nikki Navarro and Tracy Navarro-Desmond.) Her great grand- children and her siblings (Dr. Aurea Garcia-Roxas, Patrocinio Garcia-Cabidog and Ellen Garcia-Valentin) and her nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.
