Tribute & Message From The Family

On Sunday, August 13, 2017, Ernesto Carino Sr. passed away and is now with our Beloved Creator and our Lord Jesus Christ. He is also known in the community as "Ernie." To his family, he is "Papa." He was born on May 28, 1945 to Jacob and Eufrosina Carino in the Philippines and he grew up in a small rice farm in the city of Gerona. He immigrated to the United States where he first lived in the Sate of Hawaii and later settled in the city of Palm Springs. He graduated from Palm Springs High School. He married Betty Esteban Carino on May 14, 1967. Together they had three children, Ernesto Carino Jr, Eric Jacob Carino and Erlinda Carino; three grandchildren, Sarah Carino, Serena Carino and Jacob Carino. He worked as a chef at Lyon's English Grill and later Ernie and his wife Betty opened their homes to care for the elderly. Papa will always be remembered by his unmeasurable love for his friends and his family. He always encouraged others to do well, study hard and always love each other. He always prayed for blessings for his friends, family and even strangers. All his life, he always worked hard and now he is resting with our Dear God. Family and friends are invited to Forest Lawn, 69855 Ramon Rd, Cathedral City, CA 92234 on September 1st for the viewing from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and September 2 for the Memorial Service commencing at 12:00 noon.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear Ernesto, Eric and Erlinda,
I want to let you know how sorry I am for your great loss. Your Papa was taken way too soon. I remember him so clearly as a very handsome man who loved his family and was such a hard worker. I remember him when you kids were in school at Cielo Vista. I also saw him many times at Lyon's English Grille. It's been so many years, but I remember him well. Please give your dear Mother a hug and I'm sending hugs to each of you. You must miss him terribly, but I hope wonderful memories will help to comfort you and sustain you in the difficult days ahead.
