I was privileged to work with George in 1971. He filled in a few times back then for Chuck Ruff at the Carousel Lounge in Coburg, Oregon. Being so young, it was a tremendous opportunity for me to gain some experience working with a great pro like George, who had a reputation for having recently worked in Las Vegas.

George was entertaining at Banducci's when I first started to escape the cold of Chicago and enjoy a break in the desert. Hearing him and occasionally singing along was always a great thrill and a "must do" on my vista to Palm Springs.
